Sankofa

Coffee was born in Africa. Sankofa goes back for it. The word is Akan, and it means to return for what is yours, the same return Detroit once stood for as Midnight, the last stop on the Underground Railroad. This is our rotating single origin, the best of East Africa raised with Detroit grit, one great lot at a time across Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. We roast it light-medium so the origin does the talking, all bright fruit and layered sweetness, and we retire each lot when it sells through. The origin moves. The standard does not.
